AI: Summary ©
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious,
the Most Merciful.
All praise is due to Allah.
We praise Him, we ask His help, and
we ask His forgiveness.
And we seek refuge in Allah from the
evil of our souls and the evil of
our deeds.
Whom Allah guides, there is no one to
lead us astray.
And whom He guides astray, there is no
guide for him.
I bear witness that there is none worthy
of worship except Allah.
And I bear witness that Muhammad is His
servant and His Messenger.
I advise you and I, first of all,
to fear Allah, for He is the winner,
the righteous.
May the peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah
be with you.
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord
of the worlds.
The Creator, the Provider.
The all-knowing, the all-seeing.
May Allah, the Lord of the worlds, make
us people who always remember Him and stay
protected by Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
May the mercy and the blessing of Allah
be upon all His Prophets, Messengers, especially to
the last Messenger of Allah, the Lord of
the worlds, who was sent by Allah as
a mercy to the worlds.
Not only to the particular nation or tribes,
but to everyone.
And may the blessing of Allah continue to
shower upon the family of the Prophets, the
righteous Khalifa, and those who follow the teaching
of the Prophets, and the righteous Khalifa.
Ameen.
Brothers and sisters, we have been moving from
topics to topics.
It's just to remind us how important as
a Muslim to understand what Islam is about.
Whether Islam is a religion that focuses on
ritual, just talk about aqidah, belief, and then
the rest is up to you.
Or Islam is a perfect and complete way
of life.
It's not just about believing, but it's also
about how do you move forward after you
believe in something.
Now, if you go back to all the
lessons that we have been learning, the conclusion
is that every Muslim should be happy and
proud that the religion that we choose to
follow, to believe, is not a man-made
religion.
It's not a cult.
But it belongs to Almighty, the Creator, Allah,
Rabbul Alameen, the All-Knowing, the All-Seeing.
Now, if you look in one of the
ayah that I like to start with, because
this is a very important ayah to me
now, where majority of the ummah are very
confused today.
Every single day, if you look into the
media, you get more confused from time to
time.
The way so-called Muslim is talking about
Islam, the way so-called scholars of Islam
are talking about Islam.
Now, Allah, Rabbul Alameen, the Creator, the All
-Knowing, He said, إِنَّ نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا زِكْرًا وَإِنَّ
لَهُ لَحَافِزُونَ This ayah literally means, Indeed, we,
Allah, who have revealed the Qur'an.
The Qur'an is named by Allah in
this ayah as a zikr, a reminder.
Zikr is a reminder.
Qur'an is here to keep on reminding
everyone who read the Qur'an.
Every Muslim, they are exposed to the Qur
'an.
They read the Qur'an.
But how many of them learn from it,
reflect from the Qur'an?
Just for recitation, everybody has been reciting the
Book of Allah.
But Allah said, وَإِنَّ لَهُ لَحَافِزُونَ Allah is
here not only to reveal His Book.
He protects.
He said, And we will protect the authenticity,
the true meaning of His Word.
His religion.
Nobody has the right to interpret the Book
of Allah according to their ways.
They are feeling their opinion because Islam don't
follow our opinion.
Islam is here to guide us.
And Islam is here to explain everything in
detail with all the SOP that you cannot
be wrong, be misguided, after you follow the
teaching of Islam.
The teaching of Islam that Allah has perfected
for us.
So Allah said, Today I think I would
like to return to this book, The Islamic
Etiquette.
Because through my humble experience from time to
time, I look at a lot of Muslims,
lately have no adab.
They just say anything they like to say,
do anything they like to do.
That's all.
With good intention, nobody said they have bad
intention.
Everybody have good intention.
So let us try to revisit back what
Allah said about the adab.
If you go back to page 7 for
those who have this, it's a publisher's note.
Now if you look into this, the first
ayah that was chosen by the author, اليوم
أقممت لكم دينكم و أتممت عليكم نعمتي و
رضيت لكم الإسلام دينا This is the ayah
which was revealed to Prophet Muhammad when he
performed his first and the last pilgrimage, hajj.
The last pillar of Islam is hajj.
And when he was performing his wuquf in
Arafah, there is no hajj if you are
not in Arafah for wuquf.
Your hajj will not be accepted if you
don't stay in Arafah on the night of
Dhul Hijjah.
Every hajj, qujjas, must be there.
And the time is fixed after Zuhur to
Maghrib time.
That is the time.
So if you go back to what is
happening until today, everybody will be in Arafah
normally before Zuhur to make sure that you
are in immediately after Zuhur.
And nobody is allowed to leave Arafah.
All the security, the army, the police, they
will block all the exit.
No one is allowed to leave Arafah until
Adhan of Maghrib.
Everybody will be there.
Even the WIWIIP, you cannot leave because that
is the time limit.
Adhan Maghrib, you don't hear the Adhan in
Arafah.
No.
There is a mosque in Arafah known as
Masjid Namirah.
Now this mosque is so unique.
It was not a mosque before in the
time of the Prophet.
It's an open area.
Later on, when they know this is the
area the Prophet performed his prayer, so they
built a mosque.
This mosque only functions one Adhan in a
year.
Only one Adhan.
Normally mosques, you should have five Adhans, but
this mosque functions only one Adhan in a
year and two Iqamas.
The prayer that is being performed is only
Zuhr, Qasr, and then Jama'at with Asar.
Qasr, two and two.
So after that, if anybody is still there,
earlier than that, you never hear the Adhan
from that mosque.
You don't wait until Asar time, come in
and then another call for Asar.
No.
Maghrib time, there's no Adhan there.
The Adhan will come from outside because they
don't pray Maghrib in Arafah.
The call may come from Mina or sometimes
because of the internet, when the call in
Mecca start, then when anybody hear the Adhan,
then everybody is leaving Arafah.
Why?
Because you only pray Maghrib and Isha in
Muzdalifah.
It's a very unique journey.
Everything is being laid out very clear.
Zuhr, Asar, only Arafah.
Qasr, Jama'at.
Maghrib, Isha will be in Muzdalifah until Fajr.
After Fajr, then you leave Muzdalifah towards Mina.
That is the only day that the Prophet
was asked, what happens if I do this
before that?
I do this before this?
The Prophet said, if Al-Farah rush, do.
Do whatever is easier, convenient for you.
That is the only area the Prophet give
all his ummah the freedom to choose.
Very unique.
Why Mina?
Why other area?
No, he fix the time, he fix the
place and he limited the area.
That is why the Prophet said, You want
to perform Hajj or Umrah, do it the
way I have performed my Hajj and Umrah.
Now when Allah said, Here is to reaffirm,
to remind all the Muslims who believe in
Allah.
Remember, today, from that day, I, Allah, have
perfected my religion.
This religion belong to him.
And he said, I have perfected my religion.
And I have completed my favor.
Whatever you want from this religion, how to
do it, how to perform it, everything is
been completed.
Ready made.
How do you feel if you buy something
is ready made?
You don't have to have your own headache
to try to make adjustment here and there.
Nothing.
It's ready made, just use it.
It's like you buy a hand phone and
the hand phone have the manual ready.
You just use it.
You don't go and open this and open
that and make some modification.
No, only the outlook of the phone is
up to you.
Whether you want to buy a case from
leather, from plastic, that is up to you.
But the whole thing about the phone is
ready.
I perfected the religion.
I completed everything that I want you to
do.
And I choose this Islam for you.
Not your type of Islam.
The Islam that Allah choose is different.
The Islam that we are practicing is very
different.
We don't know what we are talking about
sometimes.
Allah said this religion is His.
And then He continue and make it very
clear for everyone of us.
You see how
Allah Rabbul Alameen when He reveal His revelation,
when He choose His religion, He protect His
religion.
And anyone of us who want to feel
protected, you must follow.
Then you will be protected.
Allah said وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامَ الدِّينَ فَلَنْ
يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ Firstly He said I perfected my
religion, I completed everything, I choose this one,
My religion for you.
This is what He said.
Then Allah Rabbul Alameen reinforced whoever choose other
than the religion that I choose for you.
Of course we have a choice.
Allah never said you have no choice.
Allah said لَا إِقْرَى فِي الدِّينِ There is
no compulsion.
I show you My way.
Then Allah said there are so many ways.
Allah knows.
But He warned us.
What did He say?
He said وَأَنَّ هَذَا الصِّرَاطِ مُسْتَقِيمًا فَالدَّبِأُوْحُ This
is My way, the only way, His way.
Not your way, My way.
No.
Then He said follow.
After He has shown you the way and
the messenger was sent to you so that
you don't misinterpret, you are guided properly, you
just follow.
Simple as that.
But we have been failing every time because
we are so stubborn.
We thought that we know better.
My feeling is more important.
So Allah said My way, I show you
My way.
And He said فَالدَّبِأُوْحُ Just follow.
So clear cut, so easy.
But we make it so difficult.
But when Allah said follow, you see what
He said after that.
وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا سُبُولًا Don't, don't follow other ways.
He knows there are so many ways.
Why did He say وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا سُبُولًا Don't
follow other ways because of course He knows,
all knowing the Creator, He knows what is
going to happen.
But He keep on reminding and warn us
so that we will be protected.
So whoever choose other than Islam, the one
that I have chosen for you, you can
do that, this is your right.
But remember what Allah said.
Based on the ayah, Allah said فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ
مِنْ لَنْ لَنْ لَنْ I, Allah will not
accept.
Simple as that.
You want to choose your way, you can.
But remember, don't expect any reward from me.
Don't expect that I am going to be
very happy, always okay, okay.
No, no, no, no.
This is my religion.
I make it so perfect.
I completed everything.
I just want you to follow and you
refuse to follow.
You think you are better than Allah.
You know better than Him.
Your way is better.
So Allah is warning us, you choose other
than the way I have chosen for you.
فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ I will not accept.
Now, at the end of the day, we
who have good intention, we thought that it's
okay.
Small matter, no big deal.
We always feel like that.
Whether it's a big deal or not, brother
and sister, let us look at the end
of this ayah.
وَهُوَ فِي الْأَخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِ Remember, we are
going to die.
When we die, nobody can help you anymore.
Nobody can reward you, can tell you, okay,
okay, no problem.
You are going to meet Allah.
You are going to meet anyone else.
You are not going to see your friend.
Your friend will not even recognize you.
يَوْمَ يَفِرْ مَرْءُ مِنَ أَخِي وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِي وَصَحِبَتِهِ
وَبَنِي Everybody will not look for anyone.
نَفْسِي نَفْسِي Here you are one friend, family
over there.
No one will look for anybody.
Everybody is worried about himself, herself.
This is what Allah said, the day will
come, your papa, your mama will not look
for you.
Neither you look for them.
Your good friend, your husband, your wife, will
not be there to protect you.
No.
That is the day of Qiyamah.
Allah is saying, وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِ
You all will be a loser.
Why must you waste your time doing things,
following ways that do not benefit you at
the end of the day?
Why must you do that?
Why must you destroy yourself, your future?
When Allah is here to guide you, the
Prophet is here to show you the way,
just follow.
Every day before I start my day sometimes,
I go through my phone, because we are
always off the phone.
At night we are off, but today children
don't know how to off, they know how
to on, until the battery went off, then
they have no choice.
The danger is, what you hear, what you
see, through all this media, is so, so
corrupted.
The way the Muslims are talking about Islam,
that Islam is not perfected yet.
Their Sheikh, their Habib, just got another revelation.
That Allah come to them, Allah come to
you.
But they are sharing this in the deal.
Don't think my Habib is another Habib, my
Habib, even when the Prophet see him, the
Prophet will kiss him.
You see the way they are talking about
Islam, that Islam belong to them.
There is a new rule coming in, that
you can follow.
And the way, if somebody talk about the
Habib, what should the Habib do?
If somebody behind my back go and say,
Sheikh Hussein, mashallah, he can fly.
Suddenly I saw him floating.
Wherever you go, Sheikh Hussein is always there.
He is always with you.
If I came to know about this, what
should I do?
I should correct it.
You don't go and sell my name, I
am here.
I sleep, I eat, I drink.
I still drive, you know.
I don't fly.
You don't go and create stories about me.
It's like today in the YouTube, sometimes you
have so many info.
Oh, I am promoting this product.
When do I become a businessman?
I don't even know what you are talking
about, but my name is there because of
the AI.
So what should I do?
Alhamdulillah, because my good people, my students, they
know.
I won't do all this nonsense.
This is not from the Sheikh.
This is not from the Sheikh.
Alhamdulillah.
So I have to clear my name too.
So always remember, brothers and sisters, why Allah
said, وَهُوَ فِي الْاٰخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَسِرِينَ Because Allah
wants you to remember, don't ever think that
you can do anything you like as a
Muslim.
No.
Whether you like it or not, when you
are Muslim, you are representing Islam.
Wherever you go, people look at you, Muslim,
Muslim.
Okay.
Now they look at your lifestyle, the way
you think, the way you do things, the
way you talk, the way you eat.
What is the difference?
You are worse than us.
Then they will say, Islam is bad.
Can you imagine how bad we are?
We misrepresent our religion that is so beautiful.
And because of that, people say, I don't
want to have anything to do with this
religion.
Look at the people.
Religion has made them worse.
The way they think is worse than the
people who don't have religion.
The way you believe in things is not
logic at all anymore.
Just an example.
Now brothers and sisters, it is the duty
of every Muslim to value this divine favour
that Allah has given us by adhering to
it.
Try our best.
I'm not saying that everybody can be an
angel today.
But everybody must have the intention.
Now we just move in 2025.
The beginning of 2025.
So what is 2025 to us?
What is a new year to us when
there's no changes?
When we are still the old you.
No more the new me.
You can be better if you want.
You can change if you want.
You can be jovial.
Every morning you look at each other, give
a smile.
Can we do that?
Husband look at the wife, give a smile.
Wife smile to the husband.
Can we do that?
Sibling look at each other, give a smile.
Oh no.
Old face.
Your face.
Every day they look at you.
You're not happy at all.
Why?
See what the Prophet said, a smile is
a sadaqah.
You see how beautiful is love.
By giving a smile you got reward from
Allah.
Or you don't lose anything.
Is that easy to do, giving a smile?
How can you know that you are giving
a smile?
How can you know?
Alright.
It's not.
Yeah I think everybody will go to the
bathroom every morning.
Everybody will take wudu.
Everybody will wash their face.
After that, Alhamdulillah, in all our bathroom there
is a mirror.
Correct?
They're sure to have a mirror.
Mirror, old mirror, look at me.
And then you look at the mirror and
do you smile?
You don't have to smile, look at the
mirror.
Show your ugly face.
Do the mirror smile at you when you
show your ugly face?
Your sour face?
Early in the morning, we don't know what
happened to you.
You have a bad dream?
That you just don't know how to give
a smile.
It's an exercise.
Look at yourself, give a smile.
MashaAllah.
How you feel?
You feel good.
That's how you move on.
That's how you move on.
Yeah?
Allahu Akbar, walillahil hamd.
Islam is here to protect all of us.
Quran was revealed as hafizun, to protect you.
If you want to stay protected, protect your
iman, your deen, there's no other way than
to follow what Allah said.
And Allah said, follow my messenger, you just
follow Quran and sunnah.
InshaAllah, your iman will be protected.
InshaAllah, your akhlaq, your attitude, your character, your
behavior will change.
No more looking at the negative, you go
positive.
No more staying passive, proactive.
That's how you move.
Then you see what is happening to you.
Suddenly you realize, mashaAllah, you become a better
person, more kind, more loving, more caring, more
sensitive.
Sensitive in what?
You know what is wrong.
Today we are not sensitive about what is
wrong.
We are too sensitive what is right.
When people want to correct us, remind us,
sensitive.
What is happening to your feeling?
You should be sensitive when something is wrong.
Something is good, alhamdulillah.
That should be the way for us to
move forward until we meet Allah.
That's how Islam spread.
Allahu Akbar.
That's how Islam reached to billions of people.
I'm sharing this wine, brothers and sisters.
I just came back from China.
Friday I arrived.
When I was talking to the people there,
of course when I'm there, first thing they
learn from me, because they want me to
be there with them.
Remember?
I only eat halal food.
So now they also learn how to eat
halal food.
Because they want to eat with me.
They want to entertain me.
Only halal restaurant.
But some halal restaurant, I feel very bad,
very sad.
With the weather is below 2, winter time,
everything is closed, but most of the people
are smoking inside.
Suddenly I just cannot feel, I don't feel
healthy.
When I was 18, I want to eat
very fast, and my whole face change.
I cannot show my smiling face.
I was so upset.
I look at the smoker there, look at
the smoker there.
I just do this.
Then suddenly, body language.
People don't care.
Everything is closed, and closed, and you go
and smoke.
Astaghfirullah.
The same goes to all these five-star
hotels, reception, in front of the reception, everybody
smoke.
Something's wrong.
If everybody is a smoker, so nothing, that
is very common to them.
But I said, if I go to certain
place and don't smoking, I feel so relaxed.
Islam is teaching you how to, la darara
wala dirar.
Don't do anything cause harm to yourself, and
do thing that cause harm to others.
How do you feel?
And again, I always prepare myself, going to
all these area.
Even how modern the restaurant is, when you
go to the toilet, it so happen, maybe
Chinese people have very strong knee.
They don't have sitting toilet, or squatting.
So those who have knee problem, please remember.
You must plan your journey.
If not, we don't know what is going
to happen to you.
But maybe they are so used to it.
I'm just sharing, you see.
Islam is so beautiful, want you to look
into everything, stay clean.
So that, you know, everybody feel good.
But very sad to see what is happen.
If they are not Muslim, another thing.
Maybe they have their values.
You know, non-Muslim always, tayammum, you know.
They are all dry cleaning.
We, when we show them Islam, use water
to clean yourself.
Those who have tried that, they feel so
good.
Your water clean.
Just an example.
So, this book, the Islamic etiquette that we
are referring now, is known as Minhaj
al-Muslim.
That means, is a guidance to the Muslim.
The way for the Muslim.
Written by a known scholar, Shaykh Abu Bakr
al-Zazairi.
Alhamdulillah.
And he try his best to get all
the evidence to support what he is trying
to share with all of us.
And we are not going very detailed to
what is been mentioned by the author.
And it was translated by brother Jamal Zarabozo.
Yeah.
Brothers and sisters, if you look at this
book, it was printed from January 1997.
1997.
Now the first thing that we all want
to look and revisit back.
Every time we do things, if we keep
on failing, everybody want us to do the
good thing and we are not responding.
Everyday people want us to be safe with
the situation today.
I was in Kuala Lumpur yesterday with our
guests.
The big brother of the Pakistan president and
the family.
And they were moving around Kuala Lumpur.
They feel a bit secure.
Yes, very safe.
Alhamdulillah.
Yeah.
Alhamdulillah because in the city you have so
many different people around.
So I believe that the security reinforcement is
there.
Because you have so many foreigners and so
many visitors.
So of course you have to reinforce certain
security.
When I'm in China and all this country
because we are going to be there for
a mission, the security is very, very good.
Our meeting is just five days, example.
But they have to have the maximum security
for us.
Wherever you go you have people that you
don't know.
From a distance walking to make sure that
nothing happens to us.
They want to protect us.
Alhamdulillah.
But when I try to reflect why I
need all this, they know better about the
environment.
They know that the enemy of Haqq is
everywhere.
And the enemy of Haqq, anybody remember who
is the enemy of Haqq now?
Who when you want to talk what is
right, you want to present what is right,
that means your life is not safe anymore.
Anybody remember?
I like to use letters.
Start with M.
Inshallah.
Inshallah we share with you later on.
Now how are we going to improve ourselves,
brother and sister?
If you go back to this book, it's
very nice because it started with the first
hadith of Sahih Bukhari about intention.
Whether we have the intention to change, to
be a better person, to stay protected.
And the most important thing for you to
protect is your Iman.
And how to protect your Iman?
You just have to follow what Allah wants
you to do and what Prophet said.
And anytime when you talk about Islam, always
remember you must have reference from what Allah
said, what the Prophet said, not qil wa
qal, my Habib, my Sheikh, my...
No!
What Allah said, what the Prophet said.
That's all.
Simple as that.
You don't know, you learn.
You're still confused, learn again.
Be humble, ask.
Following the truth is so important to stay
protected.
Children will be protected, we will be protected.
It's like today, the government spends so much
to protect the country, to protect their position.
They go all out.
Parents spend so much to protect their children.
The first thing that you do, make sure
that they eat the right food, drink the
right drink, so that they are healthy.
We don't allow our children to just eat
rubbish.
We want to protect their well-being.
So we choose the food.
They don't know.
Children don't know halal and haram.
They just know food.
You just put anything, everything goes.
But we choose the good food for them.
Never mind, we spend extra to make sure
their well-being is taken care of.
We choose a place for them to live,
where they feel secure, so they are protected.
We choose a good school for them to
go, so they learn the right thing.
That's what we always do.
We want the best.
Who knows about the best?
Allah.
Just follow what Allah wants you to do.
Just refer back to what Allah said.
A Muslim believes in the great importance of
intention, and it's important for the remainder of
his deed.
Anything you do, everything comes back to your
intention, so that there will be a result
for this world and the hereafter.
This is so because all deeds are based
on intention.
Due to it, the deed is strengthened or
weakened, depending on the intention.
The deed is either valid or void.
This belief of the Muslim concerning the necessity
of intention for everything that you do, and
it's an obligation to make the intention proper.
And we know what Allah said in Surah
Baynat, وَمَا أُمِرُوا إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونَ لِيَعْبُدُوا اللَّهِ مُخْلِصِينَ
لَهُ الدِّينَ And they were commanded not but
they should worship Allah and worship none but
Him alone.
مُخْلِصِين Be very clear about your intention.
I'm doing everything for Allah.
I'm eating for the sake of Allah.
I am drinking for the sake of Allah.
I have a family for the sake of
Allah.
Everything you do, do it for the sake
of Allah.
Then your heart will be protected, your mind
will be protected by the whispering of the
Satan.
The Satan are not happy when you are
very sincere.
That's why in the Quran Allah said about
what Shaitan declare to Allah.
He make a declaration that I cannot influence,
I cannot corrupt only one group of people.
Other than that, I will go in forcefully.
Politician, the rich, the poor, the scholar, you
just name it, I can control them except
one group of people, I surrender.
Who are this group?
إِبَادِكَ الْمُخْلِصِينَ Your servant, O Allah, who are
sincere in doing what you want them to
do.
The power of sincerity, brothers and sisters, is
your number one weapon to protect you from
self-destruction.
Like I always say, who are more sincere
to the children?
Who are more sincere?
Parents.
Parents are always there to protect their children.
The family members are there to protect their
loved ones.
They are very sincere, they don't have any
hidden agenda.
Anything they spend on children, they never open
a book to record, to write down, today
I spent 10 ringgit for you, for them,
and then another 10 ringgit, and I record
it.
2024, I have invest on my son, first
son, about 11,000.
Second son, because he fall sick, plus, plus,
medical, about 15,000.
The husband and wife, when you spend on
each other, so you do the calculation.
I spend on you, don't forget.
I record, no?
Do you record?
Normally they don't do.
People who care about you, they just give.
They just very sincere.
If you need more, they feel that you
need more, and they have more, they are
going to give more.
They don't calculate, because they are very sincere.
But look at how, when we do something
for our parents, we start to calculate.
Just an example.
Allah keep on giving us, from the day
you are born, the eye that can see,
he can just pull one of the wings,
and call us, you are blind.
He give you the ear that can hear,
but are you grateful?
People who are sincere, are people who are
very grateful, and thankful to Allah.
When Allah is here to remind you, you
are so grateful, Allahu Akbar, thank you for
reminding me, oh Allah.
When I read the Quran, I remember what
Allah want me to do.
I may forget somebody is there to remind
me, my father is there to remind me,
my mother is there to remind me.
How do you feel?
Because the mother and father, want the best
for you, keep on reminding you.
The teacher is there to reminding, your family
members that, Mas, why is to protect everybody?
Because once one of the family is having
problem, been injured, what is going to happen
to the whole family?
Everybody feel the pain, not only you.
One member of the family get into an
accident, the whole family is going to react.
They have to go to the hospital, they
feel so sad what is happening.
The young student of us who pass away
so fast, where the parent is still around,
normally parents say, we are so old, I
think we will go first, not our children,
but your children have returned back to Allah.
May Allah forgive them.
That's why we do not want to end,
at the end of the day, we regret.
At the end of the day, you will
become a loser.
Why we want to be a loser?
When you can be a winner.
So everybody must protect their Iman.
And one of the best way, is to
make sure your intention is very, very pure.
Everything you do, you do for the sake
of Allah.
In Surah Az-Zumar, verse 11, Allah remind
us again, قُلْ إِنِّي عُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَعْبُدَ اللَّهِ
مُخْلِصًا مُخْلِصًا لَهُ الدِّينِ Say, O Muhammad, that
I am commanded to worship Allah alone, by
obeying Him.
Not just to worship Allah, we have been
worshipping Allah, our children have been worshipping Allah,
Alhamdulillah, they do Aqeem Salah, but after that,
you should always make sure you obey, what
He want you to do.
Because the prayer has been established properly, what
did Allah say?
إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَخْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ If you
perform the prayer correctly, the way the Prophet
want you to do, with concentration, the result,
the prayer will protect you.
You see, everything that Allah want you to
do is here, for your safety, to protect
you.
If you pray properly, with understanding, that prayer,
إِنَّ الصَّلَاةَ تَتَنْهَى عَنِ الْفَخْشَاءِ وَالْمُنْكَرِ is going
to protect you from all the bad things,
all the negative things.
If you have friend, when you pray properly,
you will see, now Allah is going to
show you, what kind of friend that you
can trust, what kind of friend that you
must be careful.
They don't care about you.
They are very selfish.
And sometimes you are good, but they are
not the good friend.
They may be drinking, having drug in them,
but they put into your back, because you
are their friend.
And suddenly, they know the police is looking,
because somebody is reporting, this is what happened
to a lot of people, who have seen,
who come to me and said, my children,
innocent Sheikh, suddenly he's been arrested, because of
drug.
Because you make friend with, people, who love
drug.
They know, report is going on quickly, they
put something into your back.
When the police come, check their back, no,
check your back, they found drug.
What's going to happen?
How are you going to protect yourself now?
This evidence is there.
I found this in your back.
In your back.
That's why today, you must be very careful.
Before, I'm a person who like to help,
to carry bags, especially in the airport.
You see the elderly people, carry and then,
let me carry for you.
Later on, people remind me, I still don't
know what to do now.
I don't like to see the elderly people,
carry something too heavy.
But the danger is there.
Maybe, it's not their fault, they don't do.
Somebody put something, that's why, when you go
to the airport, to check in, they always
ask you, do you pack your bag by
yourself?
Yes, good.
And this is not my bag, oh, okay.
Even you have good intention to help one
another, but the whole situation today have changed.
You must be very careful.
But the parent will not going to destroy
the children.
If the parent is a drug addict, I
don't think they want to put drug into
the children's bag.
Because they know, if they're caught, the children
is going to suffer.
Parent will not do that.
Even, yeah, they are in drug, the parent
will not want the children to be a
drug pusher.
They become the victim, they will safeguard the
children.
That should be the way.
Remember, after you worship Allah, without any shirk,
not because to show off to your parent,
to show off to your friend, for the
sake of Allah, then you obey his command.
And doing religious deeds sincerely for his sake.
And that's why the first hadith, and this
hadith also is hadith, Mutafakun alai, by Bukhari
and Muslim, from Omar ibn Khattab, radiallahu anhu,
amirul mu'minin, he said, umirutu, yeah, he said,
I heard, samiktu rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam, yaqul,
that the Prophet has mentioned.
When the Prophet was talking about this, I
was there, in front of the Prophet.
So I heard by myself, not hearsay, innamal
a'malu binniya.
Every action, whatever we do, every Sunday we
are here, Saturday we are here, we do
all the activities, remember your intention.
Every money you spend, remember your intention.
When you are learning, your intention of learning,
because you want to get closer to Allah,
not to get knowledge, and then I'm going
to be beat with something.
I'm going to show my friend, no, I'm,
you know, I'm a learned person, no, I'm
also ustazah now, no, don't have to do
that.
Just be as humble as possible.
All the companions, you never heard anybody, yeah,
go around and say, I'm an ustaz, I'm
a habib.
No, no, no, they are just ibadallah, muqlisin,
the servant of Allah, who are sincere to
Allah.
When you are sincere in any relationship, brother
and sister, you find a lot of peace
and happiness.
No, when the whole family is sincere to
each other, alhamdulillah, you will feel, yeah, how
blessed the family, everybody happy, everybody smiling, everybody
talking, all this is to protect yourself from
being whispered by the Satan, who is here
to destroy the unity, the good feeling that
we have developed as a Muslim, who believe
in Allah and the Prophet.
That's why the Prophet said, innamal a'malu bin
niyat, wa innama likullim ri'ma nawa.
human kana hijratuhu ilallah wa rasul, fa hijratuhu
ilallah wa rasul.
And he continued, this was very beautiful, reminding
us, verily all actions are but driven by
the intention, and for everyone is what he
intended.
Allah reward you because of the intention, not
because of what you are doing.
But now you cannot just use this, my
intention is good, that means I can do
anything I like.
No, no, no, no.
Your intention that you say is good, must
be guided.
But what Allah said, and what the Prophet
want us to do, not by your feeling,
no.
I feel I'm good.
If you are going to misguide yourself, you
will use the following hadith.
What is the following hadith?
Innallaha la yanzuru ila suwarikum, wa amualikum, wa
innama yanzuru ila qulubikum, wa a'malikum.
And this is where a group of Muslim
today, is having this problem.
And also you have a group of sisters,
who represent Islam.
Na'auzubillah.
They consider themselves, they are representing true Islam.
That's why they call themselves, Sister in Islam.
Wow.
Beautiful name, Sister in Islam.
If you go to their function, to meet
up with them, you will be surprised.
They can dress in any form.
They can do anything they like.
And when you try to ask them, and
when they talk about Islam, they just follow
their desire 100%.
Islam should be like this, Islam should be,
Islam should be like them.
Not they should follow Islam.
Islam should be like this.
And this group, consider who is their number
one enemy.
Yeah.
Who is the enemy of this group sometimes?
Yeah.
Men.
Because they are sisters.
They say this men, everything men, men, men
got double.
Everything men got double.
Men one witness, female two witnesses.
Why?
Why double standard?
When something inherited, men one share, women half
share.
Why?
Who take care of their parents?
Men?
We, women.
Now they are fighting.
And then they saw all the sisters who
are wearing, covering, you know.
Sometimes they get confused.
And when I was in China also, people
ask me a lot of thing about this.
They say you must cover, or this is
also another sign of terrorist, extremist.
I say if you go back to the
history of China, all the Chinese women also
dress modestly.
Long dress.
They don't have sexy, sexy dresses.
I mean you go back to the history.
After you change your lifestyle, you dress like
the West.
Until now the West are not happy with
you.
They still sabotage you.
They still treat you as their enemy.
Even you have been like them, you think
they are happy with you?
No.
And they talk about what?
When you talk to them, they say Allah
don't look at your shape, your wealth, how
you look, how you dress, but he only
look at your heart and this.
Now the sister Islam become the champion of
Islam.
What is important here?
Here.
Here.
Inside here.
Not how you look, how you cover yourself,
you are abaya.
There is nothing.
This is just outside, nothing inside, our inside.
Outside not important.
That's why their group always dress in their
own way, very open, very transparency they say.
Oh, they use term very good.
It confuse a lot of people.
Which one is right?
Here covering, here no need.
And again sometimes they say, you see that
one cover, see how he behave?
See how she behave?
Arrogant, judgmental.
We know, we treat everybody equal.
You want to drink anything, as long as
you don't intoxicate yourself, no problem.
You want to touch anybody, as long as
no feeling, okay.
They give you all, they are trying to
introduce Islam based on their feeling.
And this is one of the thing that
will destroy your religion, without you knowing.
Last time when I met this kind of
people, they say, Sheikh do you think the
Hadith is correct?
I say, Hadith Sahih.
But your understanding is not right.
You cannot interpret the Hadith according to your
feeling, your liking.
Of course, the intention you can't see.
Intention is inside, in your heart.
How it work in your mind, but you
can't see.
But dress you can see.
You see how she dress?
Praying you can see.
Fasting you can't see.
People can pretend to fast in front of
you, after that they go behind and they
drink.
You can go to the washroom and while
taking wudu, also they drink.
Who knows?
So I said, if you think what is
important is only inside, not outside.
Outside have no value.
I think we should also remind the sister,
don't waste a lot of money.
Don't go and waste a lot of money
buying all the garment to cover your outside.
Just wear inner garment and then you walk
around.
Easy, free and easy.
Just wear your inner garment, because inside, outside,
why you waste your time?
Just long dress, even it's not covering your
aura, but it's long.
But the inner one is very cheap.
You just wear your inner garment and you
go shopping.
What will people say or feel?
You are so beautiful, but when people look
at your dress, they dare not get close
to you.
Why?
You are so attractive.
Your shape, mashallah, you know, your body shape,
you are like an actress, but how do
you feel if you dress?
Do you think men will look?
Women also look at you, but do you
think they like to walk beside you?
If you dress like this, people run away
from you.
You want to get close to them, I
love you, you say you love me, I
don't want to have a person walking beside
me only wearing inner garment.
Because everybody have this feeling of shyness.
Islam, tas tah yi fasnak lima shay.
When people don't have shyness, they will do
anything they want openly.
They don't feel shy, ashamed anymore.
That's why even when we are taking care
of our children at certain age, if it's
a boy, let the father attend to the
boy, teach the boy the adab of cleaning
themselves up.
You don't let the mother.
At certain age, but young baby, of course
mother will do that.
The same go to when your parents are
old now, they are bedridden, you have sisters
and brothers, who should take care of her
more?
To carry her, of course, let the brother
who have more strength, but to clean her,
let the sisters.
Adab, shyness is there.
Male, male.
Female, female.
So that the children grow up with that
feeling.
When they saw, when they want to do
anything very personal, they feel shy to do
it openly.
All this adab is very important.
And that's why the intention, please, brothers and
sisters, make sure our intention is guided.
Not just feeling good, and then you do
whatever you like.
No.
Looking at the heart is looking at the
intention.
Of course we can't see.
We can't even see our heart now, but
we can feel that it's pumping, it's moving.
Brothers and sisters, have you experienced while you
are sleeping, while you're lying down, about your
heart beats?
Have you experienced hearing your heart beats?
Your heart beats 24, 7.
Tonight before you go to bed, try to
see whether you can hear your heart beats
or not.
Surprisingly, if you can hear, looking
at the heart is looking at the intention.
Who will look into the heart?
Who will look into the heart?
Allah will look into the heart.
That's why the Prophet said, Inna allaha la
yanzuru ila siwaraqun.
Allah will not look into how you look.
You can look black.
You can look ugly.
Not handsome.
Not rich.
No problem.
Allah wants to value what is in your
heart.
When among the companions one day, somebody called
Bilal, the Ethiopian slave who was freed and
then become the Muazzin of the Prophet.
But being human, some companions, everybody have feeling,
like to call him with a nickname.
Bilal al-Aswad.
Bilal the black man.
He know he's black.
You don't have to tell him.
Never one Bilal said, I am Bilal the
white.
No.
He know I'm a black.
You don't have to remind him.
Like today sometimes we have so many brothers
who have the same name, so many sisters
have the same name, Fatima.
Or Hassan.
Good name.
But then people want to identify which Hassan
are you talking about because there's so many
Hassan.
So sometimes we give them a nickname.
Hassan, the blacky one, the black one.
He know.
He never claim that he is yellow, white.
He also know he's black.
You don't have to remind.
Hassan, the fat one, he know he's fat.
Never one Hassan said, I'm very slim.
No.
He know his size.
Yeah.
Example.
You don't have to.
He have a good name, full name, call
him.
Call him with the name.
So this companion said to Bilal, the black
Bilal, the prophet heard this.
The prophet remind.
Remind him you don't do that.
That mean the prophet is saying that you
still have the Jahiliyyah attitude.
You have the Jahiliyyah that like to look
down upon others.
Among the tribe, they look down upon different,
different tribe.
And this tradition is still very strong where
in India.
You have the Pariyah group.
How good you are, if you are the
Pariyah, you cannot be in the same level.
You cannot sit with them.
You cannot eat with them.
No.
Alhamdulillah, Islam came and change everything.
Everybody is equal.
You can be white, black, rich, poor.
You can stand together, oneself and worship Allah.
No problem.
That is the beauty of Islam.
But Allah will look into the heart.
We can't.
We cannot value the heart of a person
because we don't have that knowledge.
But we just value the person according to
how they present themselves, how they talk.
You value their words, how they react.
You value their action.
That's where we come in.
That's why we cannot say, no, this guy
is not good.
I see his heart.
You cannot talk.
Even in time the prophet, when they talk
about, the prophet said, when you are at
war, when people have surrendered, don't harm them.
But there was an incident, one of the
companion just proceed because you are my enemy.
So even you surrender, we don't accept.
They said, execute him.
So when this thing came to the prophet,
the prophet asked, why you do that?
When they have surrendered, you value them from
what they do.
You don't value them what is in their
heart.
No one knows.
Heart leave it to Allah.
But when you do everything, you want Allah
to reward you, then check your heart.
The prophet said, Look at
the reward.
He who seriously consider doing a good thing
but did not do it, will have one
good deed recorded for him.
Your intention.
That's why everything we do, brother and sister,
we want to check our intention.
Do it purely for Allah.
You cannot donate one hundred, donate ten ringgit.
You cannot donate ten, you donate one ringgit.
But what value is, is not that amount.
It's your intention.
That's the only mean you can.
I only have ten, so I give one.
Alhamdulillah.
This got one hundred, give one.
Compare with you, you have done more because
you have ten, you are prepared to sacrifice
one.
This one got one hundred, he only want
to give one.
Your status is different.
You got one hundred extra, why you give
one?
Give like ten.
No, everybody want.
Yeah, the one who can't, they give one.
Just example.
But the reward is so great.
By having a good intention, you get reward.
Act upon the intention, you get more reward.
So today we will look into this, one
of the Hadith, about intention.
Anas Arba.
In general, the Prophet is trying to share
with us, there are four kind of people.
One is a man whom Allah have given
knowledge and wealth.
You have money, you have knowledge.
He acts with respect to his wealth, based
on his knowledge.
Now, his action is based on his knowledge.
He have more knowledge, so his action will
be better.
Another person said that, if Allah give me,
given him similar to what he give the
first man, he would have act in the
same fashion.
The second person who have nothing.
He said, if Allah will give me, make
me like him, I can also do like
him.
Yeah.
Okay.
The reward for both of them will be
the same.
Based on your intention.
Because you look at this good person, Alhamdulillah,
he got wealth, but he is not stingy,
calculative.
He like to help.
And the way he help, you can feel
the same, he don't talk about it.
He don't boast around.
Alhamdulillah.
But can you talk about it?
Can you talk about it?
You can, but with the right intention.
To encourage other people to do.
Not to show off.
Sometimes you can encourage people, motivate people, by
sharing with them what you have done, no
problem, so that they also can follow.
They can also follow.
Because people don't know, where to do good
thing, how to do good thing sometimes.
They have good intention, but you are exposed
to it, you are doing it, now you
can even share the info with them, there's
nothing wrong.
Now back to your intention.
The third person is one whom Allah give
wealth, but he does not give knowledge.
He got money, but no knowledge.
Money, every time money.
Talk about money, you can refer to him.
Yeah.
You talk about what Allah said, what the
Prophet said, he don't memorize.
You talk about money, alright, you can ask
him.
Bitcoin, small coin, coin, he know, he the
coin person.
Therefore, he spend his money, according to his
desire.
When you don't have knowledge, you just have
things, you don't appreciate anymore.
You appreciate everything you do, based on your
desire.
You want to spend more to get more
back.
Normally people of money is like that.
They use money to make more money.
They don't think about reward, they think want
to get more, become richer, and richer, and
richer, that is common.
Because your desire never end.
We have one mountain of gold, not enough.
But, you can see among the people who
are rich, the politician who have so much
property, but never enough.
They want more.
Everything that is going to be done, or
project, they want some share.
Why?
Why you want more?
You have so much already, you don't even
remember how much you have.
You don't even touch that.
You know all these so-called wealthy people,
they want to travel, they don't have to
take all these normal flight, first class they
have their private jet.
Everything is there.
Do you think they are satisfied?
Nervous, they want more and more.
Greediness come in.
The dunya enter their heart now.
Their heart is not connected to Allah, their
heart is connected to things.
So they value things more than human.
They can oppress you to get the maximum
out from you, and they don't even value
your life.
They went to their African country, they oppress
the people, make them a slave, and get
all the resources out.
And they don't even help them to develop
their country.
This is from your country.
It's time for you all to be economically
strong.
No, no, no.
They want you to be poor at their
mercy.
They keep on oppressing you.
Can you imagine what is happening?
This kind of people, why they do that?
Because they don't have the proper knowledge.
They follow their desire.
Another man said, if Allah had given him
what he had given that person, he would
have act the same manner.
I think if Allah make me rich like
that guy, I want to be richer than
him.
I don't think about how to help other,
I'm thinking how to make more money.
And you can see at the end of
the day, people who are so rich, they
are so poor as a person.
Nothing satisfy them.
Can you imagine?
How many of us are from Uttara, from
Penang here?
Some of us may come from there.
You remember, the Chinese have along.
The Indian have what?
Chatty.
Have you seen the chattier lifestyle before?
Have you met any of the chattier?
How do they live?
How do they dress?
They wear like ihram always.
Minimum.
And you go and see them, they just
sit on a plank.
They don't have their own chair also.
No cushion, just a flat.
And then, they have a safe behind them.
And they eat minimum.
They don't eat like us.
Kentucky, McDonald's, pizza, butumayam, banana.
Very simple.
But don't think that they are poor.
They are rich.
They lend you money.
But they themselves, they are so stingy, they
don't even want to spend on themselves.
They don't want to waste any money.
They use their money to give you and
then they earn through boring lending money.
Can you imagine?
To them, I look at them so pitiful.
Different from along.
Along, they live very luxury.
They spend, they eat, they are not stingy.
And they have extra, they go and lend
people money.
But when you don't pay back, then you
wait.
They are action-oriented people.
They give you fast, they want back fast.
If you don't give them, then they act
very fast.
They are all fast action people.
But what the Hadith is trying to tell,
you may have wealth, but if you don't
have knowledge, then the money cannot help you
to be a better person.
While you can be doing a lot of
good things and people will admire you, pray
for you, talk good about you.
Even they talk good of you, you must
make sure your intention is for Allah, so
you will not allow what they say to
corrupt your intention.
Sometime you have people, it start with good
intention, while they are doing all the good
things, and then people is going to talk,
you can let them talk, they want to
talk, nothing, right, you can stop.
But you yourself must not allow their prayers
to corrupt your intention.
I just do what I can.
That's how you must check your intention.
So even you don't have the money now,
but when you look at a friend who
have money, mashallah, they give sadaqah here, mashallah,
if I have, I also would like to
follow all the good deeds that they offer,
you get the reward.
But if you also have the wrong intention,
like the second group, that mean, still what
is different, those two will have the same
burden upon them, because when you have something,
you are going to be like them.
But the good thing is, there's no sin
recorded yet.
Bad intention, without following with action, no bad
sin been recorded.
Only when you act upon it, then you
commit a sin.
Because you have that intention already, it's easy
for you to follow with action.
But good one, even you don't do, you
get the reward.
And if you act upon it, every good
deed, the reward is ten times.
So why not, we all try to change,
become a better person.
Be kind, be cheerful, and stay protected.
That how we want to protect our iman,
so important, we have to protect our knowledge
that we have, we protect ourself from all
the bad things, la dororo wa la diror,
and we protect our family.
Ku anfusakum wa ahlikum nara.
Protect yourself and your family from * fire.
And work together as a team, to protect
one another.
Help one another.
A lot of thing happen around us, is
there to remind us.
Don't be careless about life.
You have only one life.
One great mistake you do, will cause harm
to so many people.
So always make sure that you are protected.
Your din, your iman protected by Quran and
Sunnah.
Get sure to protect your iman.
Nobody can mislead you easily.
Your household, you have to be careful.
You don't invite stranger to come in, and
you don't protect your property.
You want stranger to come in out, make
sure whatever property that is valuable that you
have, keep in a safe place.
Like people staying in hotel.
The hotel, the room is safe, but the
cleaner come in, we don't know.
So anything valuable, keep it.
I have a lot of friend who, have
so many servant, and they have their private
master bedroom.
You have the other room for the children
and everything.
Children room of course minimum, they don't have
a lot of things, but parent who have
a lot of thing.
Jewelry, all this expensive thing.
If you don't allow anybody to clean your
room, you clean your own room.
Number one, safety.
But sometimes you have so many worker, you
allow them go, clean my room.
They clean everything.
They will be very happy.
Suddenly they disappear.
We say diamond is forever.
No, diamond gone.
So what are you going to do?
You see, you are going to suffer because
of that.
Because your love towards the diamond is so
strong, now it's gone.
But it was there, but you don't use.
Because there's so many, jewelry you have, so
you don't bother.
Then gone.
So they came to me and complain and
get upset.
Can you imagine?
You are so upset, he was so happy.
She got risky.
Now how do you protect your jewelry?
If you have so much, you keep in
a safe place.
If you want people to clean your room,
or you make it easier, no.
My room, master bedroom, I take care.
Alhamdulillah.
Do some exercise in your master bedroom.
Do something for yourself.
At least you know where you put your
thing, because you are the one who is
cleaning and taking care of.
Just an example.
You protect your property.
Protect the family.
Hotel, do you just let your door open
when you want to get out from the
room?
No.
Some hotels are very, very good.
The minute the door is not closed properly,
they got a signal.
Remind you, return back, okay, you pull, okay,
now it's locked.
Why you want to keep the door locked?
I always check this when I travel.
To make sure that you feel safe, that's
all.
All these are very important thing for us
to be alert.
To protect yourself, that's all.
And everybody look into that collectively.
Alhamdulillah.
Today when you are driving, we have bag,
some important thing, do you just put on
the seat openly like that?
Don't do that.
Hide it properly, because you know, when you
are praying Jumaat, there are other people also
doing other thing.
They don't have the intention to break your
screen.
But suddenly, laptop, Apple, so they look nobody
around.
They thought that risky.
Or you don't even lock your door, how
do you feel?
When people open, wah, betul-betul risky lah,
rahmat.
You just finish your prayer, making dua, everything
come out, gone.
How do you feel?
Lastly, brothers and sisters, when you go to,
especially brother Jumaat, what kind of shoes do
you wear?
What kind of shoes do you wear to
bring you for Jumaat prayer?
Yeah, the minimum one.
Wear slipper.
If suddenly you forget to wear the slipper,
you wear something expensive, then you must use
your common sense again.
Put the shoes in a safe place, or
separate your shoes.
One here, one there.
I've done that.
I came out, my shoes gone.
I just got that shoe, so it's the
latest new balance kind of walking shoes that's
very good.
And I cannot buy it here, I buy
it from Japan.
So happened that there is the day they
invite me to give a khotbah, I forgot
that I didn't change, I didn't forget to
inform the driver, do you have a slipper?
But now I remember, I put his slipper
and my shoes aside, I put the others
to another area.
When I came out, my God, can you
remember?
Two place I put here and there, they
can take their trouble to go inside.
That means the people who come to the
mosque, they don't have the intention to pray.
They are there to look for new shoes.
So they get their shoes.
Just an example, so anytime when you be
safe today, even your intention, tawakkalallah, you're going
for Jumaat, it's a good intention, but you
know, the people who coming to the mosque,
only Allah know their intention, so be safe.
So that's why in Saudi, you see, Alhamdulillah,
in Mecca, million of people, hundred thousand, you
can bring your shoes along with you, and
you can put your shoes just in front
of you while praying.
Alhamdulillah.
No?
After you pray, you know your shoes is
in front of you.
Here, they don't allow you to bring your
shoes in.
They throw you out.
They don't throw your shoes only, they throw
you out.
So please be wise.
Whatever you want to do, look at what
Allah want you to do.
Safeguard, protect yourself, protect your property, protect your
life, protect your family, work together collectively.
Remind each other.
So next time when you want to pray
Jummah, you know you are going with some
friend who are wearing good shoes, you remind
them, either you walk barefoot down, and then
you come back, you have your shoes safe
with you, or you can walk with your
shoes down, and then put it separately, but
then you must tawakkal.
How you tawakkal, only Allah knows.
At least you have done something.
So today the world is so unpredictable.
You are so good, people going to mosque,
people go to mosque, but they have the
intention not just to pray, to hunt for
new pair of shoes.
So may Allah protect all of us, brothers
and sisters.
So remember, what the Prophet is trying to
share with us about the four types of
people.
We hope we are among the first and
the second.
Knowledge plays a very important thing in our
life.
You may have the knowledge, but do you
act upon the knowledge is another matter.
So we try our best to make sure
that our intention when we seek knowledge, we
do not want to just have knowledge, but
we want to act upon the knowledge that
we have.
If there is any question or answer now,
we open for Q&A.
Fatafaddal.
The book now you can go through online.
Alhamdulillah.
Assalamu alaikum.
Wa alaikumussalam wa rahmatullah.
In the last hadith, it was mentioned about
the four people, that mankind is of four
people.
So the first one was the wealthy one
with the knowledge, the second one was the
one who was poor, but had the intention.
The third was the person who had no
knowledge, but wealth.
And the fourth person was the one who
had no knowledge and no wealth, but had
a bad intention.
What I understand is, if you have a
bad intention, and you don't act upon that
bad intention, it's not written.
But in this hadith, it seems to be
that this person was punished for his bad
intention.
Can you explain that?
No.
Of course, there are other hadiths will come
to explain to you what do you mean
by...
Because when you have the intention, even you
don't have everything yet, it's not a good
intention anymore.
But you will not be considered as a
sinner yet because you don't act upon it.
Yes.
It's general.
It's a very general hadith telling us about
the character and also the feeling of this
group of people.
They have money.
You see, the third person is whom Allah
gives wealth, but does not give knowledge.
Money is there, but no knowledge.
The money is going to be used for
something that is not good.
Because you are just using the money to
entertain the desire.
Money make money.
Example, people have money, they are not happy
with what they have.
They have wealth, they want to make more
money.
It's okay.
You can make more money, but they don't
have the intention to do good with their
money.
They become more stingy like what Allah said,
Like Qarun, keep on accumulating wealth, wealth.
They thought that the wealth will be with
them forever.
It's just no.
You die, you don't even bring a penny
down.
Nobody buried any wealth with you.
But human is like that.
When you are greedy, when dunya is in
your heart, you thought that dunya is in
your heart, dunya is everything.
No.
Dunya is a tool.
It's a platform for you to attain your
akhirah.
But because the dunya is inside now, wealth
is there, but no, you see a lot
of people who are wealthy, but they don't
have the insight.
They cannot use that for good purpose.
But if there are people who have good
intention, doing good, but they don't do for
the sake of Allah.
Again, being a human, they want people to
know that I'm a good man.
So, without the right iman to protect you,
whatever thing you do that is good, you
only will be recognized in this world.
Nothing from Allah.
Because you don't believe in Allah.
But if you believe in Allah, then you
get two.
In dunya, hasana, because people know you are
a good person.
In akhirah, Allah reward you.
So, the intention is varying.
That's why when we pray, the best prayer
is what?
Rabbana, aatina fid dunya hasana, wa fil akhirati
hasana.
Waqina azab al-nar.
That's why when you want hasana in this
world, fa'alaihi bi-ilb.
And you want hasana in akhirah, fa'alaihi
bi-ilb.
If you just want hasana in dunya, then
you have the ilmudunya.
Just for your dunya.
That's why money make money.
There's nothing wrong to make money.
To be rich is okay.
But what is your intention?
After you become richer, you're going to use
the rich to sponsor a concert and destroy
the mind of the young generation?
To corrupt the people's mind?
Or you are going to come up with
something, activities that guide the public?
Make the people value their life?
Value the religion?
So, it's up to you.
We have so many people invest in so
many activities, so many entertainment for what?
To get more money also?
It's like today, I like to add this
a bit.
A lot of people is doing a lot
of activities, inviting scholars to come and give
talk to the public.
Is that good?
Very good.
But every scholar also will be tested.
And every event organizer also will be tested.
Do you want to make money from that?
If your intention is to make money, it's
one of the way to make money, you
get dunya.
But you don't think you get akhirah.
The same goes to the scholars.
I hear to speak for the sake of
Allah, to please Allah, or to please the
organizer.
It's up to you now.
Everybody will be tested in a different level.
If you're for Allah, I would just say,
call Allah, call Rasulullah.
That's all.
Because I'm here for Allah.
I cannot do anything I like, say anything
I like.
No, I will say what Allah want me
to say, I will say what the Prophet
want.
That's all.
And if you follow, you're not following me,
you're following what Allah say, whatever.
I'm here to convey the message.
That's all.
So your intention also is important.
Sometimes our intention is good from the beginning.
But later on, you feel that what you
say, people will just listen without referring back
what Allah say, and this what all the
habaib is having that problem.
Now they just say anything they want.
They know they have good followers.
Will promote them to the next level.
And one day they say to you, you
know, I have a dream that Prophet, Khalas.
They don't have to say, there are followers
who go and talk.
You know who is this Sheikh.
He dream the Prophet.
Every week once.
Wow.
That means very close.
And they do all the khurafat and bid
'ah, they say they dream the Prophet.
What are you talking about?
For those who have the knowledge, that will
protect their iman.
You are not going to buy this kind
of story.
Khalas.
You just filter it out.
Khalas.
This is nonsense.
But if you don't have the knowledge, you
don't know.
So everybody will be tested.
But of course, this hadith is talking about
people who have wealth and have knowledge.
The right knowledge, Alhamdulillah, they always do what
that Allah want them to do with the
wealth, guided by the right knowledge, then those
who don't have but have the intention, they
will get the reward.
But the one who have wealth but no
knowledge, so money make money, that's all.
And they become more stingy, never feel enough,
selfish.
Then that's what they, they don't get benefit
from their wealth.
Because they have the intention not to do
anything good, but just to accumulate more wealth.
The same go to people who have knowledge.
You are seeking knowledge for what?
So to have some knowledge and go and
boast around and talk to people, or like
you are learned person, and you yourself are
not changing, you don't act according to the
knowledge that you have learned.
You learn something new today, go back, act
upon it.
Remind each other, share with your friend, share
with the family members.
Be happy when you can share with others.
That is how you improve yourself.
Then you see whatever you learn will be
fruitful.
You get the result.
But if not, even when you are seeking
knowledge, for what?
Today there's a lot of people, he want
to be having a BA after BA, he
want to have an MA after MA, he
want to be a, he want to have
a PhD, good, no problem.
Seek knowledge.
But when your knowledge have increase, do your
deed increase?
Are you an active productive person, or you
become more lazy, more passive?
Just think of yourself now.
It's up to you.
Allah will give you award, reward here and
there.
People acknowledge you, but then after that, what
are you going to do?
It's up to us.
Next, the sisters question.
Pass the mic to the sisters, please.
I want to ask question about giving charity.
Giving charity.
It's the best for our relatives, right?
Parents, the family.
Inshallah.
But regarding about the intention, sometimes people who
are not practicing yet, or they don't pray
yet, and they have the intention to give
to their family, right?
But the intention becomes, they hope that the
family, or like the prayer of the mother,
will pray for them.
So is that a good intention, or is
it not intention for Allah anymore?
Thank you.
Of course, when you do something good sometimes,
what the sister is saying, if I'm not
wrong, my understanding is correct.
Maybe we are not a very good Muslim
yet, but we have good intention, we have
extra money, we want to give sadaqah, charity.
We have the intention on behalf of my
mother, of my father, or anybody that we
have the intention, that I'm doing this for
the sake of Allah.
Of course, you have the intention for the
sake of Allah.
If not the sake of Allah, it's not
easy for you to do that.
You know that, that one is for the
akhira, not for the dunya.
So you have the good intention already, but
what happen if I have good intention, but
myself, I'm not a good person.
I don't pray five times a day, example.
I don't cover my aura, example.
Of course, you have your own sin.
We hope that you will change, from time
to time you want to be a better
person.
But your intention in doing charity and on
behalf of your parents, because whatever you do,
and there is a difference between other people
doing it, for children, is from their parents.
Whatever you do good, your parents will be
rewarded accordingly, because it is their effort, their
upbringing, their investment on us that now we
become somebody who is kind, caring, and like
to help others.
Then the parents will get reward.
Anything good done by the children, that's why
I always say, may Allah bless the parents
of the youths who volunteer themselves to help
us to do all the good things, because
with the support of the parents, the children
are here.
We have children who have been following our
youth camp for five, seven times.
Now they are bigger.
They went overseas to study.
Now they have finished their study.
They are back home, and now they are
coming back.
This is great reward for their parents, because
their parents are there to keep on reminding
them, support them, go.
Now you have finished your higher education, so
while waiting for this or do, then do
something good.
Example, anything the children do good, the parents
will be rewarded accordingly.
Even the children is not that good yet.
Allah knows best.
But if you don't care about your own
obligation, whatever you do, they will get the
reward, but you don't get the reward.
You can do good things, but you will
not be rewarded.
But maybe you become a good person, you
like to help, because your parents always like
to help people.
So you inherit certain good value from them.
So that, the reward will go back to
them.
But can we ask for do'as?
Like if we donate to them, we give
some money to them.
We give the person, make them don't forget
to do'a for my parents.
Or we give our parents, and we ask
for them to do'a for us.
Is the intention?
No, you give the parent when the parent
is alive or the parent has passed away.
The parent is alive.
Still alive.
Of course it's good.
There's nothing wrong asking people to make do
'a for us.
It's good because we humble ourselves.
We need do'a.
Don't be over-confident.
I don't need my parents' do'a.
No, it's good.
Allah loves us to make do'a a
lot, but sometimes we know who we are.
We are not that good.
And we know our parents are better than
us.
We say, Mama, don't forget.
But in general, parents always make do'a
for their children.
Without you asking, because they love their children.
But only the children always forget to make
do'a for their parents.
So it is, there's nothing wrong.
Asking anybody to make do'a, there's nothing
wrong.
In Islam, only you don't go to the
grave and ask the dead people to make
do'a for you.
That is where you went wrong.
But now it's become very popular now.
See, the corruption of the deen now.
Because you don't follow the Quran soon.
Hear, say, hear, say, hear, say.
Now we have all these problems.
People go to the graveyard now.
You got sickness, go there.
You got bankruptcy, you go there.
You don't have your future, go there.
You want to go for exam, you go
there.
So, everything has gone wrong.
When people who are dead, what did the
Prophet say?
When you see the graveyard, what do you
say?
First thing, you pray for them.
You don't ask them to pray for you,
they're gone.
In Qatar, Amaluk, the Prophet said, once the
person die, everything cut off, khalas, disconnected.
But the children, righteous children, whatever they do,
can benefit them.
They are gone.
Just give salam.
As-salamu alaykum, ya ahl al-diya min
al-mu'minin wal-muslimin.
And make du'a to them.
Allah makfil lahum warhamhum.
Common sense will tell you, I don't know
how we cannot have common sense today.
Can you imagine the Muslim today, they don't
even have common sense.
If he is a good Muslim, a practicing
Muslim, specialized in I, E and T, and
you are his close patient, very close.
Now, he die.
Will you go to see him again?
Hey doctor, you remember me?
We are so close together.
Now I'm still having eye problem.
Can you give me some advice?
What kind of medication should you recommend me
to go and buy?
Are you going to go there, cure my
eye, cure my hearing?
Astaghfirullah.
You know that they need your prayer.
What is going to happen to this ummah?
You're going so backward.
Islam is here to bring you forward, you
go backward.
You're asking other than Allah, and you're asking
the dead.
What did Allah say?
The dead can't hear you.
Allah said the one in the grave cannot
hear you.
So, call Allah.
Will you go and talk to them?
Alhamdulillah, no crazy people go and bury a
hand phone, and buy a hand phone that
can last one year online, and then you
put it down, so that you can still
give them a call.
You can try that actually if you want,
see whether they respond or not.
Send a message.
Get a phone that can last, the battery
last one year, and never off, one year
one.
You check it.
I don't know which one will come up,
this product and that.
On and off, send a message.
Ring, ring, ring.
Nobody pick up.
If what you did that they still hear
you, they should hear your ringing, you know,
that you're calling them.
Immediately, suddenly it responds.
How do you feel?
How do you feel if you put a
phone there, suddenly you send a call, and
you call, suddenly, hello?
What do you think?
What will happen to you?
See?
They're leaving.
They're responding to my call.
This happens when you have location.
Oh, somebody has took it out.
The technical is using it now.
If you want to explain that, it's very
interesting.
I would recommend people who believe that the
dead can hear you now, to do that
exercise.
To prove that this thing happened.
Because they believe so strongly, they hear you.
Scientifically, you must prove.
Hmm?
Is that a good exercise?
Alhamdulillah.
Any last question?
Any question from online?
No.
So we hope, if there's no question, every
one of us who are learning, remember, the
spirit of 2025 should change.
Not like 2024, we learn, but no changes.
We want to change.
We want to be more happy to ourselves,
make everybody happy around us, so that when
we do things, for the sake of Allah,
we don't feel burden.
We don't feel pressure.
We are happy.
Allahu Akbar.
No?
And anything you do for the sake of
Allah, you're happy, rida, you don't feel burden,
actually.
You don't feel pressure.
Why?
Because you like to do for the sake
of Allah.
And inshallah, after this, slowly we can share
about the aim, inshallah.
Yes.
Question.
Online.
Bismillah.
What is your stand for someone who is
generous for her family, but the family is
ungrateful?
Okay.
So should we give more if she will
not suffer by giving more?
Again, the ending one.
Should we do more?
Then?
I think, is it a burden for her
to forgive more, or should, because the family
is ungrateful for the...
Yeah.
For their kindness, for their good deeds.
No.
Please remember, anything you do for your parents,
you cannot compare what they have done for
you.
Never, never compare.
The more you can do, you just do.
Do for the sake of Allah.
Yeah.
That's how we do things for our parents.
Never compare what the parents have done for
you.
Yeah.
Without all the pain and suffering that they
have gone through, we are not here.
But with the will of Allah, we are
here.
And they give their best.
They don't, sometimes, not say the parents don't
appreciate.
The parents sometimes do not know how to
express it to you.
They do appreciate.
That's why one of the important things that
we must develop, a good communication, engagement, talk,
yeah, share with each other.
Don't keep it to yourself.
But normally we humans, we all have our
own feeling.
We entertain our feeling more than what Allah
and the Prophet want us to do.
Don't keep.
Just talk, engage, share, and you do your
best.
You just do your level best.
If everybody is trying to do their level
best, you see we can overcome a lot
of misunderstanding.
But then at the end of the day,
you have done so much for your parents,
they don't seem to appreciate.
You feel they don't seem to appreciate.
You feel that they don't even say thank
you to you, but leave it to Allah.
Just do your level best.
At the end of the day, you know
Allah will be very pleased with you because
you do for the sake of Allah and
you are serving your parents.
You're not serving your friend, your parents.
So may Allah bless all of us and
give us the right spirit not to give
up doing anything good for our parents.
Always remember family, unity, family, value are very,
very important to the extent that Allah said,
You must prepare to make changes.
We are here to unite, not to divide.
Other people may come in, out.
Never mind.
But we are not going to be like
people who are there to divide but to
unite.
So you must overcome your desire, your feeling,
your egos.
I know everybody has their own egos.
But what is the point to entertain egos
that don't benefit you?
Why when you show all the ugly face
of yourself?
Why don't you show the good side of
yourself?
And people value you based on your performance.
People don't value what is in your, they
don't know what is in your heart.
So when you're in a family, engage, talk,
be together.
Feel like you are together.
Even they are not friendly, you show your
kindness.
That's how you move on.
And when you have parents, please, when your
parents is not well, talk to them.
Don't just give them food and everything but
you don't talk.
You know the parents always talk to their
children when you are small.
After you become talkative, they get tired already.
And now they are not talking, you have
to talk.
Keep their memory strong.
Help them to recall a lot of good
things.
They feel good.
You don't understand their feeling but just talk.
They say the connection between human is true.
How you smile, you're happy, cheerful and you
talk.
Once you stop talking, communication end.
Problem start.
It attack you, it attack everybody.
So try your best to communicate with each
other.
Can we do that?
Inshallah.
You must have that spirit, inshallah.
You know your weaknesses more than anyone else.
So then you act upon it.
That's how you move forward.
And you see the changes.
You must bring changes.
You don't let people stop.
You do your best.
People don't come to you, you go to
them to the extent.
Prophet Muhammad, he don't wait people to come
and learn from him.
He go out.
He will go out and talk to the
people.
Share with the people all the good news.
Some respond, some don't.
But he never stop.
His duty is to convey.
Communicate, communicate, engage, engage.
Do that.
Then when we parent, we adult doing it,
we see the children.
The children also have that spirit because they
see that this is what we are doing.
But if we don't do, what is going
to happen to the children?
The children also don't feel it's important.
Nafsi, nafsi.
We want to have a good family, happy
family, cheerful family.
And the fastest way, I always say, if
you don't know, the young people don't know
how to make everybody happy, what should you
do?
What should you do?
Ask the parent.
Papa, mama, what should I do?
I like to make everybody happy, I also
don't know how to do it.
I only think I want to be happy,
they must make me happy.
I also want to learn how to make
them happy, but I don't know.
Ask.
And they tell you, you do this, you
do that.
Okay, just do it.
Your papa, your mama, your grandparent are happy
when you like to help them.
They want to keep the house clean, you
are there to help to clean the house.
Do!
Alhamdulillah.
Inshallah.
May Allah bless us brothers and sisters.
We end and get ready for Zohar prayer.
Subhanakallahumma bihamdik.
Ashadu an la ilaha illa anta astaghfiruka wa
atuh.
Bu ilayk.
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
